I believe it would work just about the same way quota's do in cpanel. once you go over the limit the server will become inactive. I'm pretty sure it will be 1gig shared/burstable between multiple clients on the same machine. I'm not sure if it's on cogent or L3 though.

I think perhaps he's talking about the File server not the 1gbit dedicated server

as compared to what that other thread discussion is about

no problem. It's confusing with all these similarly named plans out there sometimes. The only reason I knew what he was talking about was of how specific he got in the details.
I ordered one of these and while yesterday I was pulling their test file at 600kb/s per thread , today I can't pull anything higher then 120kb/s per thread.
Hopeing this isn't what I can expect.
strangly enough you are rignt. it is very slow today

I found the internal transfer speeds of the file awful.

well no doubt that it's definitely a shared machine and I don't doubt that it will be greatly oversold. I'd say if you get 120kb/s per thread thaty'd be good thing. Hopefully their gigabit server is a Performance raid array otherwise the max that servers gonna output is 12mB/s(heh I'll be more specific on the speed posts). but 120kb/s is good for distribution of smaller files but your right it will suck for larger files. I suppose as long as it's able to hold 120kb/s through at least 200 threads per purchaser it will be good enough to handle most file requests.
Well the 120kb/s was from inside a downtown St. Paul POP. I have no idea what it would be from across the country and the different broadband providers.
