Hi, :hey:

Okay, I'm almost ready to put my order in. I was hoping to get a few more questions answered today.

In the event of a server problem how do I contact FDC if the voicemail on 312.933.1046 is full and my email is tied to my server? Does your support department have a direct line?

Do you have an clients I call to discuss quality of service or responsiveness to server trouble?

What versions of:

DEBIAN
SUSE LINUX
FEDORA

are you offering for the your VDS product. I have some experience with SuSE 8.1 but was wondering if there was a compelling reason to go with Debian or Fedora instead?

Also of the control panels you offer which works best with SuSE and which give the most control over the server?

Cpanel/WHM + Fantastico
PLESK 7
Direct Admin
Webmin

Do the control panels also deal with maintenance patches for the OS?

When I sing-up via the web, is my service term month to month? If choose to switch plans can I cancel at anytime? I see there are no refunds.

You will get accurate answers when u contact sales department such as kevin@fdcservers.net.

In the event of a problem, help support is thru http://fdcservers.net/helpdesk
They do have a support number...but chances getting thru is 1 outta 10.

As for the OS, i think they are flexible and will install the exact OS u need. BUT considering its a VDS, i don't think u get much of a choice since the software they use to create VDS must support the OS.

I am a Redhat/FC fan so i can't answer how compatible Cpanel is with Suse.

As for patches... Its ur duty to do them. Cpanel does run nightly updates and updates softwares bundled with it.

Your service is on monthly basis ( never heard a contract offer with FDC yet). I am not sure about switching plans in between...my guess is, shouldnt be a big problem.. All payments to FDC are non-refundable ( clearly states in TOS) . Even if ur acct is terminated due to abuse , they won't refund you.. Thats the case with 98% of the providers out there.

Good luck with your purchase :hey:

The best way to reach supprot is through http://www.fdcservers.net/helpdesk . They Usually Respond in 10-15 minutes. Or you can email them at support@fdcservers.net.

Phone usually isn't the best way to get help cause theirt echs are usually too busy to answer the phone.
