I currently have one of the older vds packages i seem to have outgrown it and i now want to move on and begin to do some webhosting.

Im comparing theese two:

VDS #5
512MB RAM
40GB Disk Space
100Mbit connection
unmetered transfer
Free control panel
IRC allowed
up to 60 free IPs
only $99/month

UNMETERED Dedicated - Special #3

AMD Sempron 2400

512MB RAM

80GB HDD 7200 RPM
$149/month

I was hoping to go with the vds for the price but i don't know ive had some serious cpu issues on the vds I am on any suggestions are appreciated.

if u decide to proivde quality webhosting, i wud stick with dedicated server.. the VDS are POS in my opinion, u will face bw and load issue. Just my 2 cents

Virtual dedicated helps out the smaller company to get off the ground . so I would say to anyone virtual dedicated to start and then move yourself into dedicated server once you are familiar with the control panel , and how everything works.

i agree with you however if someone is new to hosting and jumps on one of your slow vds's they will have a very very bad experience!!!! the amd 2400 vds's run fine but them opterons... wow i cant believe one lets them get that far out of hand
