Hello guys, im new into all this server related stuff, but i would like to learn.
So im deciding into two different packages , dedicated server #5 (i know its sold out , but i can get it), or VDS #3.
All the experience i have its from shared accounts of webhosting , using them and as a reseller.
i would like to learn more , so im deciding between those 2.
I will use the server for selling webhosting, etc.

Both are unmanaged servers .

One is dedicated and the other is shared dedicated server

If you need help with a server id be more than willing to help you start out. (i believe we know each other ;) )

dedicated 5 is a great server to start out with... however if you are just learning and dont want to invest fully in a machine i would highly recommend a vds... hopefully you will not be crammed on a server like other people i have helped here but im sure if you talked to kevin or peter about it they would see that you get the best bang for your buck!

yeah i've been a little scared about ordering a vds because of the problems other customers had recently.
but i think you are right as a vds could be good to start with.

Well the opterons have many problems... not sure how that is now

and the amd 2400's that they use for vds's operated flawlessly.... not sure how that is now

No problem.
I am like you.
I have rented dedicated 3.
I do not know even how to install frantisco.
One of my friends helped me with it.
Most of the stuff will be easy if you are done with the initial setup.
Most of the guyz are cool here.
They will certainly help you.
You could search on google for some tutorials.
