well its really simple you see. ever since i got this server i notice that cpanellogd just loves to run run run and never stop. i have logging disabled in whm and that didnt seem to do the trick. i recently updated to the current release (10) to see if that would do the trick... and well loads are still up there. so what i did was kill cpanellogd. below i have an illustration of my load... quite simple actually. i let it run overnight and update stats for all the accounts. (280 or so) and it got done then it just started doing random accounts. im not sure what i should do right now... so does anyone have any ideas what is causing this.

FYI this isnt the "cpanellogd spwaning 10000000000 processes of itself" bug

finally think i figured it out.

in tweak settings there is an option:

Number of days between processing log files and bandwidth usage (default 1, decimal values are ok):

and it was set to 0... thus making it run all the time. i set it to 1 (for now) and later on down the road ill set it to .5 (update twice daily)

now onto rrd tool and cacti
