Yikes! Rejected Email!?

Well, I guess I'd be classified under the DS N00bs :-p. Here's my problem. I tried to send email to an existing account on my RH9 server w/ cPanel through my personal gmail account. Instantly the email is bounced back into my gmail inbox with the following:

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

admin@plasmahosting.net

Technical details of permanent failure:
PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 10): 553 sorry, relaying denied from your location [64.233.184.204] (#5.7.1)

To save you some time, 68.233.184.204 resolves to a gmail server. The only thing I can see thats going on here is that my server is rejecting mail from other mail servers. My question is... Why?

---ALSO--- lol, as if that weren't enough...

Outbound mail from my DS is also bounced back into their respective inboxes with the following:

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

plasmahosting@gmial.com
unrouteable mail domain "gmial.com"

I would greatly appreciate any help or advice that anyone could provide.

I have just located explantions explaining the origin of my two errors. Do they seem feasable to anyone?

For the first error:

It is gmail which is a problem . There DNS server is taking forever to pick up the changes out in the world and so it tries to deliver the message to it's own server, treating it as local and then fails with the mentioned error.

and for the second...

I had this problem. I solved it by making sure I had reverse dns set up on my IP. Hotmail, Yahoo and AOL bounce emails if there is no reverse dns. You can check this out at http://dnsstuff.com.

Like i said, I'm a n00b so I would greatly appreciate your input.

Well, nearing 12 hours later and still getting the same errors. :-/ i've tried mailing to other domains other than gmail.com but with the same result. Any suggestions?
