FDC servers has entered a test phase for gameserver hosting, feel free to use these servers and give us your opnion, they are as fallows:



Half-Life 2 TEAM Deathmatch

Counter Strike: Source

Tribes Vengence

If you have any gameserver you would like to see, just replay with
the game name/mod/gametype. aka
Half Life 2/CTF Mod
or
Unreal tournament 2004 / jetpack mod / Onslaught

Id suggest if you want to get people in there you make dust2, compund, and train some of the maps that rotate more often than the others... new maps = more people to test server :). ill idle in there and see if anyone comes around (in source that is)

FYI, the UT server is not showing up. The default port is :7777 which is currently blocked by FDC. Set the default port to 8888 in the UT2004.ini and the gamespy port to 8899. I have 2 colos there running everything but Tribes, which causes conflicts with other game servers due to it's net code (I've tried it).

I can help you set them up if you need a hand.

You should get this sorted out with people not connecting or you should remove this post. The links you provide are not working. At least not for the cs source server. Not much testing going on if players cant get to them.

Nope. You can always use www.gametiger.net to find out of your server is even visible.

This is not true. I can run UT servers on port 7777 no problem. I can also run cs, cs:s, hl2dm just fine on there default ports :)

Does anyone know how to get your server to list at the top of the multiplayer server list in quake 3 ARENA Instead of waiting for all 1900 server to list ?

I'd assume the list is sorted by a user defined criteria, so therefore nothing you can do

for steam games such as cs:s, you shoul use ports between 27000-27020, although 27015 is the preffered/default

if you start hosting game servers id like to see some hl2 mods up as i need them for my gaming league and they are hard to find under $3/slot public

if anyone wants to test ,,i got a wolfenstein et server going with fdc for 6 months now and the server is always full i mean 60 ppl in it at all times minimum 35 40 players so the ip is 208.53.138.5:27960 thats the main server
the other one is a custom server the ip is 66.90.70.90:27960 and teamspeak works great to same ip as the main server so enjoy and hope this helps for the ppl who want to know.
