View Full Version : IRCtoo
Due to the recent DALnet issues, though somewhat solved due to IX (Peering), IRCtoo has decided to offer all FDCServers/SharkTech users the chance to freely use irc.irctoo.net as their home. For large to small channels, or even a single user! All is welcome. IRCtoo though smaller in size than DALnet, is much more stable and secure. IRCtoo is a fair network, and WILL NOT autokill full ip ranges or hostnames for a single user abusing, we'll work harder at having the real abuser taken care of, not FDC/SharkTech as a whole. So, if you want a change for the better, visit us at irc.irctoo.net / www.irctoo.net.

and this is a suprise how? The number of warez networks outwieghs the number of all chat networks 50:1. pretty much everywhere except dalnet warez is pretty much a reality.

It's a shame at times to see that. So many networks try to get big quickly off it. It -does- help, granted, but it leaves little for the true yackers around.
I can only name 3 networks that come to mind, that have no warez, yet are still friendly

IRCtoo does not have any particular theme. We are a general IRC network. Our main intent is to protect freedom of speech and provide people with a stable place to chat.
There are plenty of chat channels on our network. I do most of my chatting in #irctoo. You are welcome to stop by and check it out.
Happy chatting...
I would just like to add that the warez channels you see in /list are filled with defunct xdcc bots, and the like. No one is mantaining them, and there is no owner.
Also, lately we've picked up a few manga channels.

I also am working on a IRC network. We did have several warez channels on our network, but we are whittling away at that (one left). We run Unreal, Anope, and Neostats. We run our DNS through a geo-dns system, so the client is sent to the nearest server to them. However, we only have one server outside of the US. We are trying to grow in terms of users, channels, and servers on other continents. Anyone have recommendations for increasing these numbers?
