View Full Version : Question about VDS
Hey, i'm thinking of purchasing the $99/month virtual dedicated server, but my site can sometimes have around 300 users on at a time. Will it be able to cope with this? Thanks.

Well if this is for media it wont cope, but if its just for hosting websites im sure it will cope as i have around 100-200 users at a time on mine and im on VDS 2
You should be able to handle it :hey:
Yeah it will just be used for hosting websites. Thanks a lot for replying.

How much down time can you tolerate and is it ok if all your files get lost?

I can tolerate no more than 24 hours downtime if the problem is very bad then 48 hours should be plent of time for the problem to be fixed
Yes its fine if all my files get lost as i make backups every day, and i ask the people i host to do the same

any critical web sites to be hosted?
Sometimes having your own dedicated server will help decrease any downtime. Just my opinion
