Quick question regarding a secondary hard drive:

Recently our main hard drive went out, completely dead. We had moved some sites before the failure via WHM and the re-organization of accounts to secondary drives. Several sites were moved.

We recently had the bad drive replaced and it is now empty aside from a fresh OS and software install. I am now curious on how I should go about moving the files from the secondary hard drive to the main hard drive and also would like to know how I can get those accounts/folders back into WHM as accounts. OR, how would one go about moving or transferring all the data to an FTP. If possible, I would rather just move the accounts to the main hard drive and find out if their is a way to get them recognized into WHM so that the data can be backed up and saved.

What would you guys reccomend as far as getting the data off the spare drive and onto my personal computer?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

If u backed up the accts using Cpanel/WHM backup feature, it would create .tar's for every user acct. If u did copy copy those to ur backup hdd then, move those .tar files back from ur secondary to ur primary drive in the /root folder followed by clicking on RESTORE ACCOUNTS in WHM. It would restore back all the settings.

Now, if u backed ur data manually ( without using WHM backup feature), you will have to create those user accounts again on your newly installed OS, and then drag those backuped file to their home folder, create their new zone files etc etc.

P.S:- Both hdd have to be mounted
