451 qq trouble creating files in queue

Hi,

I have a new virtual server with FDC (Plesk Fedora2) that won't deliver mail. The error on returned mail (or via telnet commands) is "451 qq trouble creating files in queue". Premissions in the qmail queue directories look ok.

Anyone seen this before? If I have to re-install the OS, it will be the second time this month on this new server - help!

Tried that. Despite the endless list of search results, most posts refer to permission problems with the queue files, which does not appear to be the problem.

I had this problem after I inadvertantly created several GB of test messages in my qmail queue. I elected to delete them by removing the directories /var/qmail/queue/intd and /var/qmail/queue/todo, then recreating them. I accidentally set the owner of these directories as qmails rather than qmailq - as soon as I fixed this, the problem resolved. Could yours be something like this?
