Nameservers

Hello,

I have created my own nameservers ns1.novacyber.net and ns2.novacyber.net and assigned IP's for them. I have added A record for the same. but when i "nslookup IP", i could resolve to
the corresponding nameserver(ns1.novacyber.net and ns2.novacyber.net) but reverse
"nslookup ns1.novacyber.net" i cant get it pointed to the IP.
In www.dnsstuff.com it gives me the error
"[TTL 28800s] [A=None] *ERROR* A record does not point back to original IP."

Can any one help me to resolve this problem..

the domain novacyber.net is set to point to Domain servers in listed order: NS5.MIDPHASE.COM NS6.MIDPHASE.COM you need to change that for it to work ! any questions just ask

Hi zmenchhofer,
I have registered that domain at www.godaddy.com, and when i try to change nameservers as
Name Server 1: ns1.novacyber.net
Name Server 2: ns2.novacyber.net
It gives me this error

Field Validation Error
Please correct the following issue(s):
Unavailable error in field Host name1
Unavailable error in field Host name2

That was my problem too, for which i thought a ping to ns1.novacyber.net should work before i change there..

Thanks for pointing me towards the domain registar place,Finally i was able to change my Nameservers at godaddy.com.. I need to add IP's for these ns1.novycyber.net and ns2.novycyber.net under Domain Host Summary.. which i failed to do before..
