Just order a 1gbit dedicated server...

Hi all,

I just ordered and paid for a 1gbit dedicated server yesterday from this page http://www.fdcservers.net/dedicated.html. The page doesn't indicate that they are sold out of this configuration and it says that it will be setup within 24 hours.

Well, now it's today and I haven't heard from anyone. No email, no phone call, nothing. The money is already out of my account, but I have nothing to show for it. I've sent three emails and tried calling today. The instant messenger on the FDCServers site has been off all day. Is this how things are done here? Should I call my bank? Is there some holiday that I don't know about? Anyone?

Some days they are fast, some weeks they are slow :)

I would just wait for the reply from the sales email. At most its taken me 24 hours to get a reply from the sales department. (still waiting on a reply to an email i sent this afternoon)

Lately for me the setup has taken a while, possibly becuase they were keeping a lower stock of parts while they had the higher prices? :/ That might be the situation, or there might be special circumstances with the gigabit servers. Also, I believe there is something to do with credit cards, and verifying it before they begin setup (especially with a transaction that big!).

And, I dont think the "Instant Messenger" thing on the site has ever worked.
