Hello. This is Adam Macleod. I am new to the forums, and I am also new to FDC Servers. I recently bought a server from FDC. It is running Fedora Core 2 with CPanel 10.2 and WHM 10.1 if that makes any sense. I am also somewhat new to CPanel. now to the point. I was running the setup wizard yesterday, and the server crashed during quota setup. I went to click next, and got no response from the WHM or any other service on the server except ping. I requested a server reboot and got it. The wizard seemed to start over properly and went through with the quota setup. Once I was finished with the wizard, I continued to set up a package. I setup the package "admin" with everything unlimited and went to set up my first account. Everything seemed to go fine with account setup aside from a WWWACCT error message, something to do with not being able to find an ns2 line in some config file. But it said account creation complete. I couldn't log in with the username and password I specified. I tried to log into CPanel. I went to list accounts back in WHM and it said 0 accounts listed in 1 second, even when I type in the domain or username in search I specified during account creation. I do not know where to go check for errors, and aside from the ns2 problem, i do not know of anything that went wrong. I realize that it is likely going to be very hard to help with my problem, but I am willing to do any diagnostics or error log checking that anyone can suggest in order to get more information about my problem. No user accounts will add, I tried the procedure half a dozen times. Other server setup operations seem to work properly such as security settings, server settings, DNS settings, etc. If you can at all, please reply to me via email at adam20@rogers.com as these forums are a little tricky to navigate for me as I am blind and it can get a little confusing getting back to where I am now.
Thank you very much to anyone who can help. i'll tell you one thing, FDC support sucks in terms of these kinds of problems, they won't help me.
