Sorry for posting this thread despite it was posted many times before, but I have tryed everithing in my power and knowlage to setup my own nameservers without any luck. My main Ip is 66.90.118.84.

1. I use VDS #3 and I think that is on RedHat I'm not sure.
2. I setup primary and secondary nameservers in Server Setup with two Ip's which I got from FDC.
Primary: ns1.dobecome.com 66.90.118.240
Secondary: ns2.dobecome.com 66.90.118.241
I assign address and add an A entry for nameserver both sucessful.
3.Went to my domain registar and assigned my new nameservers. The domain dobecome.com was allready registered before so I use this domain.

I have done all those thinks more than four days ago.

4. Two days ago my nameservers were reversed at FDC
5. I pointed my domain (sooys.com) to my new nameservers. But the page is still not accessible.
6. If I go to Server Setup/Manage nameserver IP's I see just this:
*******************************************
Main >> Server Setup >> Manage Nameserver IPs
Updating records for ip 66.90.118.84..... Done
Ip Nameserver

Assign an ip for a new nameserver:

Nameserver:
*******************************************
and if I want to assign my nameservers the answer will be that my nameservers allready have those IP's. So I think that's correct.

7. At Service configuration/Nameserver setup I enable it and This is what I get:
*******************************************
Name Server Activated

I believe u ordered 2 additional ips:
66.90.118.240
66.90.118.241

Did you add them to the system. For VDS , you can't add it on your own, you have to open a ticket with helpdesk and ask them to add it for yah. Along with the ticket paste all the ip info the sales department sent yah.
Once the ips are added, restart bind and it should be all green then :)

Thanks for reply
Those two IP's you mentioned was given to me by FDC for nameserver use. I don't know if reverse IP's means that they are added to my server. But If I go in
"Main >> IP Functions >> Show or Delete Current IP Addresses"
I see those two IP's in RED colour and I can't delite it or anything. And also If I go to Reserve IP's I see those IP's there.

Is there any chance you could help me on msn

Like i said, they give you the ip's, but its your duty to add them. However on VDS, we can't add them due to its nature. So VDS users have to open a ticket with helpdesk (http://fdcservers.net/helpdesk) and select VDS and tell them u want to add those 2 ip's to your VDS system.
Once you get confirmation thats its added, restart bind or reboot server.

I am available on msn ( contact info in profile)
