High pings on gameservers Enemy Territory

HI all,

We have a ET server for testing perposes:
66.90.103.122:27965

Why are all the pings above 100? Even people from Chicago have that pings. I dont like it cause we just bought a dedicated box for nice pings instead of a vds.

pings like 250 from the Netherlands, Same as for my boxes. Little high used to be 100 - 120

no i live in the netherlands too i get 150 max with adsl so cable probaly 200 but users in that country also has 150 so its dam high for a dedicated.. i dont like it the guys told us we need to move from a vds to dedicated for better bandwith and what do we get nothing.

set ur server sv_FPS 30 and the client side u shoudl set ur snaps 30 or 60 will drop ur ping bi 30 40

i just tested 66.90.103.122:27965 and i got a 45 ping and i'm in canada east coast. I run quake servers battle field servers and rtcw servers plus et and teamspeak and i always get good pings. Must be ur sv_fps setting i have mien set server side at 30 and my client snaps 60 try that see if that helps

I get about 220 ms from Sydney, Australia. That's not too bad, considering my distance from the servers location.

the solution is easy, people from amerika has nice pings we from the netherlands not. 'Sorry for my bad topic'. It was my own fault :) :nuts:
