I ordered new server around 15 hours ago, but have received no response. I am in USA nad have paid with credit card.

Also, quick question
With redhat linux, it doesnt support asp right?


And with these servers, does perl, php, mysql come installed?

no. its unmanaged. you do that.
but perl is default on *nix ;)

if you get some sort of control panel (cPanel for example) it will have all that installed ;).... just a thought

just an advice...from experience, stay away from Rh9 as its discontinued. You may opt for Fedor Core or CentOS. If you get Cpanel installed, it will install those stuff for yah

Ok I am getting windows 2003 web edition
(dont know difference between standard and web edition)
and cpanel.


so php perl mysql etc will come wiht it?

cpanel is for *nix only.. I believe for Windows u will get a different control panel HELM

Like i stated, if you like redhat, go with Fedora Core 1 or 2, its the same thing. Fedora has taken over the Rh9 project and continues to improve it. More info at http://fedora.redhat.com

When u get a new server installed u need compiled all this, apache,php,mysql, and when u get a server u can awaiting 24 or 48 of this period and u recieved this server

apache, mysql and php and many more of the stuff are already installed on a Cpanel server. Cpanel, pretty much, baby feeds yah.
