CPanel Problem

Hy all! I bought the VDS#5 3 days ago but I have some problems with it!ransfering and creating domains for me doesn't work with my CPanel!Maybe I didn't set it fine!Coulf someone please help me and tell me what exactly should I change to make the CPanel work ? The Dns ? Which are the nameservers ? My ip is 208.53.170.96! Please, could someone help me to set that CPanel well? Thx a lot!

well, in order to set the name servers ip, u first have to decide, if u wanna run ur own dns server or not. If you do, u then need to get 2 additional ips for ns1 and ns2. Set them Authorative and register them with ur domain registrar. Set Rdns And Fdns for them too. Once they all set and added in WHM setup, ur all set to create accounts.

Now, if you decide not to run ur own dns server, disable BIND and i think in the ns1 and ns2 fields, u put the ip of ur existing provider?? Never attempted that.

Well, I already have a domain!How do I register nameservers for it ? Sorry, I'm a real newbie!!!I requested 2 more ips and I have a registered domain named djcezar.net ! I think I can't set the nameservers to the domain, could you tell me a good domain registrar? Oh, and where do I have to set all that stuff"Authorative,Rdsn and Fdns" ? Thx a lot for your help!!!

If you bought the domain from Godaddy.com, then follow this :

The change will occur within 24-48 hrs.

Also, when u get ur additional 2 ips, you will have to open a ticket with http://fdcservers.net/helpdesk and select VDS and in the ticket ask them to add those 2 ips to ur vds.

Then in WHM setup, in primary name server, fill in ns1.blah.com and ns2.blah.com for secondary server.

I am guessing ur running Redhat or Fedora OS? if yes, you will need to fix bind.
/scripts/fixnamed
/scripts/fixndc
service named stop
service named start
service named stop ( watch if it still says Connection refussed), if not, continue with
service named start

If you still having problems, msg me on MSN, don't expect a quick reply as i am bit busy these days studying & travelling back and forth. ( 4 hrs b4 my finals -_- )


Once done, open a another ticket with FDC asking them to set a RDNS for ur NS1 and NS2 and set SOA for ur domain.

Hy! When I try to set the namservers on my godaddy account I get this errors "Field Validation Error

Please correct the following issue(s):


Unavailable error in field Host name1
Unavailable error in field Host name2 "
And those commands with /scripts/fixnamed and other things doesn't work!
Should I contact the fdcservers to RDSN my nameservers and SOA my domain first ? Thanks a lot!
