And it starts today again.. when is this issue going to be fixed cause it is starting to piss lots of peps off.. Maybe its time to add more lines to the ircds side of fdcservers , I'm not sure but i would say that it needs to be fixed asap

veno, I don't know if FDC IRC network is up/down more than "a hooker in L.A." but generally in IRC business, all companies soon or later suffer from DDoS attacks which may cause short lagging/outage (like the 6-minutes lagging we had 35 minutes ago) so we all need to be a little more understanding/patient on such issues.

However, as bummer has already informed us that Yipes/Level3 will move FDC line to a better router.. I think we just have to wait and see the performance/stability afterwards. Here is the post he made a few days ago: http://www.fdcservers.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=348#post348

We all are annoyed of these issues but we're trying to be patient ;)

Just for the records, it only lasted 6 minutes (while it could be worse and last longer):
[20-12-2004 08:52] 60 packets transmitted, 45 packets received, 25% packet loss
[20-12-2004 08:53] 60 packets transmitted, 7 packets received, 88% packet loss
[20-12-2004 08:54] 60 packets transmitted, 5 packets received, 91% packet loss
[20-12-2004 08:55] 60 packets transmitted, 9 packets received, 85% packet loss
[20-12-2004 08:56] 60 packets transmitted, 6 packets received, 90% packet loss
[20-12-2004 08:57] 60 packets transmitted, 5 packets received, 91% packet loss
[20-12-2004 08:58] 60 packets transmitted, 9 packets received, 85% packet loss

yes i have been bro .... i been with this company for over a year and this weekend really stressed me out! all my customers have been emailing the hell out of me ... like i'm going to lose money over this and maybe have to drop boxes if it don't stop soon ... it started friday and its still going on today ...Although I'm not really sure if this issue is related to the Level3 router, that keeps causing trouble... it surely is not the first time it's happening, but almost every weekend since FDC moved from Williams to Level3. So we're all hoping it will get solved after 22-23rd (in 2-3 days) of this month.

i'm always patient at least i try to be.. If u check my logs at helpdesk u will see the list of problems i have had here in the last 2 months ...Actually, I cannot even see the logs you're telling, because I'm a simple customer as you are. I have no relations with FDCservers further than working for a company that is hosted in FDCservers' Datacenter.

so srry for gettign upset but i just can't help it at times.. this is the first time i have ever msged in this forum! And i'm glad u pmed me back ...No need to be sorry, but I never 'pmed' (private messaged) you. I just replied on this thread :)

i didn't read the rizzon post cause it went on to long about tcp ping scripts... 5 pages LOL.True, I've already asked rizzon if he can create a new thread on HowTO in order to move there the script, as it may be confusing for people. His script is really wonderful and valuable and should have its own thread :)

thx bro for ur input and i'll be glad for the 23rd to come LOLYeah, looks like Level3 is gonna give us the best christmas present, to move FDC on a better router :)
